Artist’s Statement

Suspending Echoes is an immersive installation that invites audiences to experience the sensation of being affected, floating, and suspended. Drawing on my personal experiences and self-examination insights, this work represents my self-perception as a fluid entity, continuously shaped and influenced by interactions with the surrounding environment and people.

The installation creates a dynamic environment where the audience's presence and movements alter the artwork, their experience, and even the experiences of others. This artwork encompasses fans generating wind currents, water creating projected images, suspended fabric moving and being shaped, and lights casting shadows. By engaging with this interactive space on a bodily and sensory level, the audience is invited to resonate with the feeling of suspension and reflect on their own experiences of being influenced by their surroundings.

Through Suspending Echoes, I aim to evoke empathy and self-reflection. I invite audience members to explore their inner worlds and foster a deeper connection with themselves and others. My goal is to create a space for personal engagement with the artwork and the emotions and thoughts it evokes, where each interaction adds a unique layer to the evolving experience of the installation.
