Exhibition Statement
Rekindled Spaces is an Alumni Exhibition dedicated to the University of Regina’s 50th Anniversary celebration this Fall.
With a large variety of works, this exhibition celebrates the wide spread talents that have come from the U of R’s Visual Arts department, covering different decades of artists that have practiced at the institution. Rekindled Spaces features alumnus practicing locally, and from afar - maintaining their art practice and passion years after graduation from the U of R. They demonstrate all of the paths one could take after leaving the Visual Arts space, and how being an artist does not stop when you are done your time creating at the university. This expansive exhibition presents an opportunity for current, and upcoming students to look into their own futures, and what can come of their work.
Thank you to the presenting partner - the University of Regina Alumni Association for helping create this opportunity for the alumnus in this exhibition! Without their care for current, and future alumni, this would not have been possible. Additionally, we would like to also thank to the MAP Department, and Faculty with providing additional support, and energy to this large exhibition.
