Exhibition Statement
Figure in Layers” is a collection of human form paintings created by a group of students from Fall 2025’s ART 343 class. The range of works include skeleton paintings to personal portraits. The paintings showcase creativity through the choices of composition, colour, cropping, taking creative liberties when it comes to invented background, as well as showing depth of character and personality through portraiture. Each student is able to show their unique style through each of their paintings. “
